Every once in a while I get the privilege of photographing some super special moments for some super special people. This was one of those times. Patty and I have been trying to get a session together for quite some time now, but with the crazy schedules of 2 teenage boys and one fabulous daughter, we never got it together. So, when she emailed and said that her son would be home for a one week window from the Army and she wanted me to come in that time to take some family photos, I was elated! What a special time… having her first born son home from the Army… precious minutes to spend with him before he heads back out to serve our country. I sure am glad I got to meet him and the rest of his siblings… but I will say dad almost stole the show 🙂 I was blessed by my time with this family, by the love they all had for each other, the way mom & dad were so obviously still head over heels for each other, and the way their kids just love on each other. Please take a minute and enjoy these images, I hope they express even a little bit of the love I experienced during my time with this family. Thanks so much for having me!!

OMG! Cara… thank you so much! I’ve been waiting to see these and didn’t expect to have tears when I did. Sometimes, families get caught up in the day to day and we neglect to stop and appreciate each other and realize that between the busyness and business of our daily lives, we really do love each other and appreciate each personality within our little family. You managed to show that. You showed our playfulness and our love for each other. These are exactly what I hoped for and more… I can’t thank you enough!
