OK, I know this is a doozy of a post, but I just couldn’t help myself! This little man has stolen my heart, for sure. It’s a little hard for me, and any other person in my household for that matter, to control our obsession with Baby G-Man. Where to begin… it’s always such a long wait when you know immediately when someone is preggers… you just can’t wait for that babe to come! But, when it’s your sister and brother (he’s no in-law!) it is like a million times worse! When they asked me to be in the delivery room, I was so excited!! Ang was amazing… I was in awe of her throughout her labor and delivery. I always say that being able to experience things through my lens is a thousand times better than just being there. To be honest, when Ang asked me to photograph the delivery I was a little bummed. I thought I was going to miss out on “stuff”. But, I wanted her to have what she wanted, so I said yes. Boy was I wrong! Being able to capture those first moments of my nephew’s life and the expressions on Josh & Ang’s faces was a blessing beyond words. Ang and Josh were instantly enamored with him. I’ve never seen anything like it. I was so blessed to share that moment with them with my favorite Lola by my side 🙂 (sorry no pics of that… they are on lock down 🙂 ) I was then able to spend the next two or three days with my little man and Ang & Josh… I loved every second of it. When my little man finally came to visit his little “Baby Puck” as he called him before he was born (Cam loves hockey), we all were hoping he would love him lots. You know because he’s been the only rockstar in Ang & Josh’s life up until now. But we should never underestimate my little man… he was/is obsessed! Not to mention… Ang & Josh still make him feel like their little rockstar – not surprising! Anyway… I could go on for hours about this very special time in my sister and brother’s life…. and mine, but I’ll stop blabbering/blubbering 🙂 I’ll leave you all with this one last thing for my sister & Josh
I thought I knew how amazing you both are, how you live your lives for the Lord, what a great auntie and uncle you are to my kids. I though I had an idea of the type of parents you would be, but I had no idea. You have way surpassed any and all expectations. I am amazed by both of you more and more everyday, and thank you for allowing me to be such a big part of all of this. I love you both so much, but I might just love my little Gideon just a little more!
Mlove you!
xoxo

Aside from your obvious talent and the way you flawlessly captured this most special moment in our lives, you are one of the biggest pieces that made it so special!! You have always meant the world to me but in these last four weeks I am unable to put into words how grateful I am for all you have done, for who you are to me and mostly for the mother I have been able to be because of you!!! I will never be able to thank you enough and will forever be grateful to have the most important moment of our lives captured in such perfection!!! You truly are gifted and let’s just say Im pretty stinking lucky Cara Olsen is my sister 🙂 mlove you!!!
